MEET THE FOUNDERS
SOLOMON & RHEYLICA MCNEAL

Solomon and Rheylicia McNeal are the visionary founders of Samson Foundation of Hope, Inc., a kidney focused nonprofit organization committed to bringing hope, comfort, and compassionate support to children and families navigating kidney disease.

Their mission was not born from observation but from lived experience. As parents, they faced one of life’s most difficult journeys when their middle son was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease at a young age. What followed were years filled with hospital stays, ongoing treatments, uncertainty, and emotional challenges that tested their strength and faith.

Through that journey, Solomon and Rheylicia gained a deep firsthand understanding of what families endure in the face of chronic illness, the emotional weight, the need for community, and the importance of having consistent support during life altering moments.

Moved by their son’s resilience and strengthened by their own experience, they transformed their pain into purpose. They founded Samson Foundation of Hope, Inc. to serve as a source of encouragement, resources, and connection for families walking similar paths, ensuring no family feels alone in their journey.

Today, Solomon and Rheylicia continue to lead the foundation with unwavering faith, compassion, and a heart for service. Their work is rooted in advocacy, community, and impact, creating spaces where families feel seen, supported, and strengthened.

Their story is a powerful reflection of resilience, love, and the transformative power of purpose, turning one family’s journey into a mission that brings hope to many.

BE A HERO.
NO CAPE REQUIRED.

You don’t need x-ray vision or the ability to fly to make a real impact, just a willingness to help. Whether you're lending a hand at events, supporting behind the scenes, or bringing your unique skills to the table, every effort makes a difference.

At the heart of this mission is a story of strength. Junior, affectionately known as “Solomon the Strong,” faced a rare kidney disease at a young age and endured years of treatments, hospital visits, and life altering challenges. Through it all, he carried a resilience and courage far beyond his years.

His journey took a life changing turn when he received a kidney transplant at sixteen, marking the beginning of a new chapter filled with healing, growth, and renewed hope.

Today, his story lives beyond his experience. It has been brought to life through the book Solomon the Strong: The Kidney Warrior, a powerful reflection of faith, perseverance, and the strength it takes to keep going.

By volunteering, supporting, or purchasing the book, you become part of that story, helping us reach more families, spread awareness, and remind others that they are not alone.

No cape required, just your heart and your willingness to make a difference.
